Modern medical research has redefined full term.
Perhaps you should consider that a lot of reputable books and websites are not published/maintained by practicing healthcare professionals. But yes, I will go out on that limb and say it's for peace of mind. They don't really want to tell you that the mortality rate is higher in 37-39 weekers than it is in 40-42 weekers. Actually double.

This is supposed to change my mind? The only person's word I have to take is my doctors. He says full term. I am full term. That's the end of it. Unless you or that website is delivering my baby, I really don't care what you have to say.

If you say so. My doctor says I am full term so I am.   So yes, there is an agree to disagree as many doctors say 37 weeks and many say 40. I choose to go by what MINE is saying.

It's just speculation among many members. And I am not changing the subject. We can continue talking about what is full term and what is not if you would like. But that isn't going to change my opinion of her.

It's been thrown around by many members many times for a while now. It's not just random. She knew I would bring it up by her coming in here.
