Well she was EBF for 12 months. Her intestinal tract was just very slow at developing, so she couldn't eat solids. Then we found out she couldn't do any other types of milk, except goats. But that smurf is nasty, have you ever had it? Haha.

Anyways, now it's still a Bonding moment. It's not and all day thing. 1-3 times a day.

What kind of places would you think women should cover?

Everyone here seems to believe exactly how I feel about it....I love that i'm not the only one! The debate I had last night was they thought women should go to the bathroom or another room, well I got defensive... not that I breastfeed, but will be pumping... I said fine well maybe you should eat in the bathroom too... would you like that? Or how about being covered up while you eat?! It kind of made me a little mad.... because boobs were made for babies not for sex.... and it seems like society has pushed it off that bottles are for babies and boobs are for sex... which is a twisted way of thinking in my opinion.

I wouldn't want to breastfeed in public because I would feel self conscience but if I had to, I would. I don't think it's too much to ask that people be partially covered but go in the bathroom? No thanks. I don't eat in the bathroom so my baby is not going to either.

At those places I guess everyone should throw a blanket over their heads while they eat. Wouldn't be so comfortable would it?

I agree! But it made me wonder if i'll have to pump in the bathroom of a public place because I need to pump since I won't be actually breastfeeding.

I think if your kid is hungery, you should be able to feed them. Doesnt matter where you are. If people are bothered by it, they can go sit in a smelly bathroom and eat their food. I think it is a beautiful thing to see. I have even pointed it out my to DH and said "awww" when we have seen it.

Do you eat with a blanket over your head? Because my baby doesn't.

DS is only 10 months, so I'm not speaking from experience, since I don't have it...yet. I will be breastfeeding Wesley until he self-weans; 3-4 if that's the case.
Benefits are everything you listed and more. Here is a great website explaining it, and there are a ton more if you google breastfeeding into toddlerhood.

It is too much to ask to ask me to cover my kid's face while he eats. One, I shouldn't have to, and two, he literally will not eat if covered.
