I thought I would post it in here to see what everyone thinks. It was a picture but I can't save it so I'll just post the quote..

I don't think that, hence why I am not trying to get abortion outlawed.

The only thing I can think of is that Guns are physical objects, have been made and in exsistant for thousands of years - theyre ALL over, EVERYWHERE... it'd be much more difficult to physically take all the guns away and phrohibit making anymore, even tho there are people who can make them themselves - compared to, making it illegal for doctors to preform abortions? Yes there are places you could go to get an illegal abortion and i guess if you were that desperate you would do it- its not going to completely stop it, just like the gun thing........... only going to slow it down.

FYI... i dont believe in making abortions illegal OR banning guns.

I LOVE that quote. I have never understood why conservatives are for gun control. seems backwards to me..

For gun control? No that is not true. We like our guns and intend on keeping them.

Women have been inducing their own abortions for thousands of years. Even before guns and sometimes died as a consequence. Abortion has been around far longer than guns and will continue to be even if it is made illegal.

It doesn't. The only difference between pre Roe v Wade and post Row v Wade is that women weren't dying from botched abortions.

My point wasnt about how long theyve been around- it as that a gun is a PHYSICAL object that you can touch, physically take away/ destroy. You cant 'control' per say, or destroy an Abortion.

But they make on hell of a try in controlling women's bodies. Bodies are physical things.

"We" are not against gun control, we are against the government taking away our right to bear arms. There is a difference. It makes perfect sense to require more background checks to obtain a firearm, it doesn't make any sense to ban them all together. Drugs have been illegal for how long? Yet people still acquire and consume them with no problem. Why do you think making guns illegal will keep them out of the hand of criminals. Criminals don't care about laws, this is why they are criminals. All you have to do is look at the correlation between gun ownership and crime rates, especially in Chicago.

Abortion is a completely different story in my book. I would never choose it for myself but I also don't want us going back to the coat hanger days, which means making abortion legal. The girl who posted this may be shocked if she talked to people instead of grouping them. I know a lot of liberals who are VERY anti-abortion.

I know liberals like that too. I hate how people always group people who are against abortion with the republicans yet I have four acquaintances that are all VERY liberal and completely against abortion.
