Handleing entering motherhood single ...need advice =/

Hey there,

I am 36 weeks on Wednesday with my first child / daughter... I have gone through this entire pregnancy by myself, and have to say its had its tough moments but I have made it...
BD wanted me to get an abortion at 13 weeks without even considering or thinking other options or asking me how I feel....well needless to say I did him the right of looking into it but hell no did I get one obviously...

My mom will be here for the delivery, as I am now living with her temporarily...but she is not a source of comfort when I am in pain lol we just never had that kind of mother-daughter type of relationship we more just started getting along when I got pregnant and shes alone here in Florida so she wanted one of her kids here anyways.

My ? is....how do you get through labor and everything when you are pretty much alone....and the BD despite everything doesn't even want to be here for the birth...he didn't even want to know if its a boy or a girl =/ we were best friends/dated for a few years on and off. I have tried.

Do you have another friend or family member you'd rather be there or be there along with your mom?

It will be hard, but completely doable. You will have nurses and other people around during labor, and that may be scary, but you can do it.

Not here, pretty much my entire family and friends are up north...I don't even know if my dads going to be able to even make it down no less right away =/

Maybe even having a friend or family member you could have on speakerphone or something if you need them? Maybe that would help.

I have a few that said they will text with me and stuff I just hope I can get through it without a bad depression after and stuff too, but mamas do this all the time so im sure ill be ok

DD biological father was not in my life during my pregnancy, didn't come to the hospital for her birth, and has never even met her. She's two and a half now and calls someone else daddy.

When I had her I lived in Alaska. I was 5000 miles away from my family. I had a friend in the delivery room with me. I was going to hire a doula but couldn't find one that was available.
You don't need anyone. It's hard but think of your DD and push through. By the time you have her, who was there for it won't matter.

That piece of smurf shouldn't even be allowed to call himself a man. You will do fine hun.

can you call the hospital and see if they will be able to give you 2 nurses?

thank you !! and yeah hes 26 too that's the sad part but its his loss

On the hospital tour they told us that other then the doctor there will be between me and the baby like 3 to 4 nurses in there as well and they are all really nice there and understanding

Thank you =) and theres a good chance I wont want anyone around me either since normally with pain I prefer being left alone lol but who knows
