can you ovulate on the b/c pill

ok for one, we are not ttc, I just thought this would be the best place to post this. so ok I had my son c section 12/22/2011. in feb 2012 I statred a b/c pill seasonique. at first I remembered to take it every day but the last three months I missed alot, like some times 4 in a row. then i would take them as soon as i remembered. ok so on jan 23rd of this year I got my period. It was early as I missed so many pills.I waited till the next sunday and started a new pack. a week later I had this clear stretchy discharge come out of me for about two days. it is gone now. what was this.

Yes you can ovulate on the pill some pills can stop ovulation in some people but when the pill is not taken correctly you most definitely will ovulate.

ok becauce I had egg white cervical mucus.. for two days then it was gone

there was a bc pill i was on and it was called microgynon ed something like that (it was years ago now) and it has sugar pills so you take it every single day even when you have a period i had it next to my bed so i remembered to take it every day. i missed a few but never got pregnant but you can get pregnant if you miss any and on some you can ovulate. the clear stretchy cm is fertile cm its called EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) and you are usually most fertile around this time.

ok so my husband and I had sex.. a few days before I had that.. should I keep taking my b.c pill

Also the past year while on this pill this never happened before I am just freaked out as I am supposed to have surgery this summer

Yes keep taking the pill. I'm on the micro pill right now and it has no sugar pills my doctor told me I can still ovulate on it so I have no clue when I ovulate and when I don't. The pill has to be taken correctly to be successful and not get pregnant. If you miss a period or go more than 45 days without bleeding then take a test.

If you had sex a few days before your EWCM you are probably just fine. DH and I use NFP and we are able to have sex right up til the day I have EWCM without much worry of getting pregnant.

Well I'm not due for my period for another 3 months so it is had for me. I think I will take one in a week or so to make sure

I got pregnant on the pill (missed a couple pills randomly) so yes you can ovulate! 😊
