Is this common?

If I am not holding DS for up to a 30 minute period of time he will sit, coo, play with his hands & kick his feet around happily. But, randomly(I say randomly because its an instant thing)he will look up at me & burst into tears after his face turns red. He will not calm down at all until I pick him up & then he continues to scream until we lay down so he can eat/sleep. Even then he still whimpers & cries. He freaks out if he can't see me too. Not as bad as the fits I've described though. We co-sleep & when I get up to go to the bathroom I'll come back to him staring at the door with his bottom lip puckered out. Is this common for babies around 3 months? He's been doing this since he was a month & 1/2 or so

He just seems very attached I personally would try to space out a little bit so he doesn't stay clingy incase you have to start working or you need somebody to watch him for a little. My youngest does that around certain people but that's only because he has seen a lot that he should have never seen and he is afraid of them   but I don't think that's the same with your little one he probably is just very attached... Maybe when he starts to cry after a while of being down try talking and playing with him without picking him up like if he's having tummy time then starts to whine sit in the floor and talk to him maybe pick up a toy and play with it with him then he will see that even though your not holding him you didn't leave him



And something I do still to this day with both of my kids is always say I love you too much to leave when I go I'll be rite back he wont understand now but later on he will recognize it and it will calm him down if you did have to go to work or out without him and he had to stay with somebody else

I still say that to my 4 year old cause he is verrrryyyyy attached to me!!
