Advice on buying a camera...
posted 9th Feb
So I am finally doing it. I am finally going to splurge (on myself) and get a nice camera with some of our income tax. I figure I work my ass off being awesome all year, damnit I deserve it! LOL Now I just need some advice on good cameras out there. I was leaning towards a Nikon but I am so new at this I am not sure what exactly I need and what to really look for. I am not trying to break the bank but I want something durable and worth it!
Help Ladies!!!!

I love my Nikon D3100.

I have a Nikon D3000 and I couldn't ask for a better camera at the moment. Nikon is a great brand, good for all skill levels, from beginner to professional.

Yeah, that's a great deal. You are getting the whole package for less than I paid for just my camera with the one lens.

Great!!! Lol That did't take as long as I thought it would.
My cousin was trying to sell me some camera she had, but I want something a little more professional. Glad I found this!

I really had fun playing around with the depth of field when I first got mine, and I have taken some pretty awesome shots with it since then(I've had it a little over a year now). I'm surprised you found one anymore, since Nikon stopped making them after the D3100 came out, and now the D3200. The extra lens alone is about $250 and I want one, but haven't gotten it yet. Maybe after taxes

i have a d3100 and i love it. i have the kit lens (18-55mm) and a prime lens, 35mm f/1.8.

Not sure how much money you have to spend, or if you already purchased a camera. But I would suggest buying the Nikon D5100, body only and buying a prime lens; such as, the 35mm or 50mm. They are so much better in low light. I never use my kit lens, such a waste of money IMO.
