Human lactose is different from the lactose produced in cow's milk. Most people who are "lactose intolerant" are sensitive to the cow's lactose. Human lactose is actually called galactose and an allergy to it is extremely rare.

Ya I thought that it was different thank you. because I'm lactose intolerant but was breastfed. My mom just cut out dairy.

Yeah it can be a bitch but it's doable. Idk how you know a 6 day old baby was lactose intolerant yet.

You don't. It usually doesn't even present itself until a child is at LEAST 2 years old, but in healthy, term or full term babies, it doesn't usually show up until age 3. In Caucasians, it usually affects kids older than 5, in African Americans, it can show up as early as 2.
