Ear Wax Problem

So my son's pedi said we need to use these drops called Debrox to help get rid of the excess of ear wax in his ears....I used them for like 2 weeks....1 week per ear....but it didn't help. Any suggestions? He's 5.5 months old.

Is there a reson he needs his ears cleaned out? Our pedi told us not to clean them. She has had her ears cleaned twice by her pedi in his office. I'm too scared to do it myself.

My son gets really waxy ears and we were told to put a little oil in each ear before bath time every week or two and left the water rinse is out. It works well. We use coconut oil. olive is fine too.

The pedi just said that his ears had an excess of wax and I should work on cleaning it out with the debrox drops. I'll give the oil thing a try... thanks
