birth plan. what do you think? long
posted 9th Feb
I want my child's father, Christopher House, in the room when I'm pushing. It is very important for him to be with me at all times.
As long as I'm comfortable, I would like family to be able to be in the room while I am laboring.
I would prefer if no one under the age of 12 be permitted to visit except for my children, Kyli & Joseph.
I would like to be able to use a birthing ball & walk to progress labor. I don't want pitocin. I want to try very hard to go without a epidural.
I would prefer if NO ONE suggests pain medication or epidural.
I would prefer to have a enema.
I would like to use my own gown.

I would like to work very hard to avoid the use of forceps and a vacuum extraction.
2. After delivery
Please wait to cut the umbilical cord until after the cord stops pulsating. With Christopher cutting the cord.
It is very important to me to be able to breastfeed immediately & to have uninterrupted skin to skin contact for at least a hour. Please place the baby on my chest naked.

I would like all procedures to be done in the room with us (Bath, blood being drawn, weighing, temp taking, ext..

We would like to give him his bath
I would like our family to wait until after we have had our bonding time before they are permitted to come into the room to meet the baby.
After everything is cleaned up, I would like Christopher to go report the news that the baby is here to our family & bring in our two children to meet their brother.
Please make sure our son does not receive a pacifier, water, or formula. He is going to be exclusively breastfeed
Can you ladies think of anything I've left out?
