You know, I just thought.. what if you weren't required to have the ultrasound but after the abortion was over they told you it was twins... do you think you would have wished you didn't or would you still stand by that decision? That might be a good way to think of it.

Honestly, i think having any doubt, more than likely, you'd have regret. i could never have an abortion (couldn't handle it mentally), but i found myself in a slightly similar situation when i got pregnant. after 3 months of ttc and it not happening, DH suddenly got cold feet. said he didn't want kids and never would, so we broke up (because kids are the most important thing in life to me). we were split but still living together for about 5 months, till a big fight caused me to move out. 2 months later, through a series of events, i ended up living with him again. (granted all this was before we got married). 2-4 wks later, i found out i was pregnant. i told him he had the option to be a part of it as much as he wanted to. ultimately he decided to get back together (after all, the reason for breaking up was mute by then, and we truly did/do love each other). it brought us closer and made us realize just how much we love each other. so definitely talk to your husband. it could give you guys another nudge in a good direction. this is all jmo.

If you were unsure in your decision to begin with I wouldn't go through with it. I wouldn't have an abortion at all, but that's just me, and I am not judging you. But I feel if you were going to have one you need to be 100% confident in your decision, not on the fence. Definitely think it through. If you think there is a chance you may want to raise them, don't go through with it right now. Give it a month and decide. Good luck.

Thanks ladies...I'm nervous too because id need a bigger car...a bigger house...and just all the work two more children entails...if I do go thru with the abortion...I'll just get my tubes tied..ive already had one abortion and if I go thru it again I don't want any more kids..

if you are always waiting for the right time, it will never happen. IF that is the only reason, and you weren't sure to begin with, I personally wouldn't do it. That's just me. I'm sure you'll make the right decision for you. Good luck.

Why would 2 babies change your mind, if one baby wasnt enough to change your mind?? I am against abortion, but think of the logic????? I am assuming that you couldn't care for, love, or just didnt want another child, so why would you consider having 2 over 1?

she already answered this question...
She said because natural twins are rare it made her really reconsider.
She can care for the child(ren) but the timing sucks. She was already not 100% sure she really wanted to go through with it.

Please read before you sound like an ass. Especially in a forum like this.

Also, no one here cares that you're against abortion.

If you were going to have a abortion why would anumber change your mind I don't understand?
Yeah it's special but timing and everything else.....

I see it has been several days since you posted, so I don't know if you made a decision yet, but if you haven't, I think it would be a good idea to consider adoption if you can't keep them. There are so many couples that I know who aren't able to have children, and you have been given such a blessing (I would be so excited to have twins myself!) that I am sure a couple somewhere would want them if you aren't able to take care of them.

I won't regret it...you're really not anyone to judge someone's reasons or state that you had better reasons..I'm going through with the abortion and it's scheduled for next Saturday...timing was my reason last time and ive never regretted it...
