It does make shopping a bit more challenging but there's a lot of cool neutral stuff I've found. I figure I'm building up for the big surprise when the little one arrives. I'm more happy to be having a baby no matter what gender, knowing isn't something i needed because either way its gonna be a girl or vice versa can't change that  . I didn't think I would be able to have kids so I'm elated as is. Besides 17 weeks isn't too much longer to wait, I got this far already! Lol

Oh okay, Yeah I feel the same way, whether I had a boy or girl I was jusst happy that I was able to get Pregnant. I had an ovarian cyst repture 2 months before I found out I was pregnant, There I thought I was gonna have to have surgery and not be able to have children. Im so excited and Congrats to you. Ill be looking to see the gender after you have the sweet bundle of joy.

That would definitely be scary with the cysts! I have a very weird tilted uterus which one doctor said would make things difficult and later after that I had to have a colposcopy along with LEEP done so wasn't sure how pregnancy would work out for me. Congratulations to you too! I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of all of our beautiful June babies!

Thank you   I swore it was a girl but at my 18 week ultrasound the technician got a good picture of him so there was no denying it. My husband is excited and he knew it would be a boy because in his family its always a boy and then a girl so I'm hoping I get my little girl next. I do have to admit that I heard all kinds of horror stories about being pregnant but my only concerns I've had so far was I didn't feel him kick til about 20 weeks and I'm losing weight instead of gaining. I was overweight a little bit before the pregnancy though so I got told that he is just taking fat from me first and then once he has nothing more to take that I'll start gaining... The most I've gained was 6.3 pounds. and that was around when I found out. I had no pregnancy symptoms and I wasn't even sure I was because I was on the Depo shot for 2 years and I got my last one in Oct 2011 and was supposed to get it in Jan 2012 but didn't. My doctor told me it would be 17 months before my body would become "normal" again so I figured my husband and I had about a year when we got married before I would get pregnant. I was 7-8 weeks when I took a test and got it confirmed, so it caught me off guard.

Hahah, aww, well you can always try for a girl again! I'm having a girl, I wanted a boy but I just knew this one would be a girl. My fiance's thrilled (although I think he's probably gonna catch a charge having a daughter) and I'm slowly getting used to the idea of having a little girl. I just wouldn't be able to handle a mini-me, I was a hell raiser as a child lol. I WISH I was losing weight.. I've already gained like 30 pounds.   And I was on the pill but we decided we wanted to TTC so I stopped taking em and figured I'd have a few months at least before I got prego, but two weeks after I stopped taking the pill I was pregnant lol.

Yeah I made him promise me that we'll wait at least 2-3 years after our son is born before we try again. I will be 22 and my husband will be 27 shortly after he is born and my husband and I would like to finish school, which I know will be hard but my mom did it with me and my sister so I look up to her. I am Bipolar so I was absolutely terrible as a teenager and I was told that however you are as a teenager, that you can count on your kids being 10 times worse than you were. I dont think I could handle a mini-me cause I look back and Ive apologized to my parents a million times for the way I acted and Jayden isnt even born yet lol. I was worried about losing weight and my cousin who is due April 14th with her second son lectured me about it :/ It seems like when we have a plan it tends to go astray lol Which I have a question for all of you ladies on here, do you go by weeks to figure out how many months you are? When I talk to people I will tell them that Im however many weeks but then I'll also say that Im so many months. I go by the 17th of each month because of me being due on the 17th of June, which I got told I was wrong by two of my friends from high school..

That's about the same age difference between me and my fiance'.. I'm 22 and he's 27.. he's about to be 28 and I'll be right around the corner from turning 23 when my Layla gets here. And yes, the thought of having a teenage daughter scares the hell out of me.. me and my mom have a good relationship now but when I was a teenager I drove her crazy and gave her hell. Ugh, I hope my daughter isn't nearly as bad as I was. And don't worry about people lecturing you.. as long as you feel good and the doctors are telling you you're fine, that's all that matters. People feel the need to voice their opinions on other people's pregnancies for some reason.. don't worry about it lol.
And I just go by the weeks when people ask how far along I am.. to avoid that problem, really. I don't wanna be like, "Oh, I'm 25 weeks so I'm a little over six months!" and have someone correct me lol so I just go by the weeks to avoid that issue.

I agree with you on that thought process. I do tend to say weeks more than anything because of those people who will correct. Im excited that he will be here in about 3 1/2 months.. It seems like time has flown by since we found out.

I know, I feel like June is right around the corner! I keep telling my man, "Little Layla will be here soon keeping us up all night and driving us crazy.." and he says it feels like just the other day we found out we were expecting lol. We're excited, but damn, it seems like I still have so much organizing and shopping to do. I have yet to get the nursery together.. ugh! I keep putting it off.. I so badly need to get it done though, but her room was being used as storage when we first moved in so I have so much smurf I need to get out of there. I'm not looking forward to it..
