So sick (rant)

My daughters going to be a week old tomorrow and her fathers family haven't seen her since the day she was born they haven't called or anything. The day I can home from the hospital I invited them over to my house to see her and they never showed up they didn't even call to tell me they weren't coming. They haven't bought her anything or even asked if she needs anything. Her fathers in jail and can't be involved and I won't allow him to be after he gets out but his family said they wanted to be but I have always had to make the effort not them... I'm just so sick of them. She deserves better. This was the only chance I was going to give them and they waisted it. End rant.

|Maybe they just want to give you some time and space to relax and sleep.
If you really want them to come visit, why don't you call them and set up a time??

It takes 5 second to call , oh and let's not forget the i was 36 weeks pregnant the first time the asked how it was going, and I had to call them.

Maybe they are busy? Or just trying to give you some space since it's only been a week.
Don't cut them out yet.

They live less than 15 min away. It's aggravating because I always have to make the effort. They haven't even contacted me on their own once since I got pregnant.

You know honestly too it may be some of your hormones changing that is contributing to you feeling this way.

Yeah your right that could add to it, i think the fact that they have never though she was her fathers has a lot to do with it too and I know they think that they have told me to my face... I just I don't believe someone's to busy to pick up the phone...

Yeah i understand. I would probably be aggrivated if i was in ur situation too. My in laws *can* be like.that sometimes. They went two montha without seeing DD#1 cuz i wouldnt drive her to their house for them to see her.

Yeah then my mom drove down to their house to show them pictures the day before and they implied she's not mikes(her dad) so I think that has a lot to do with it.

That would have really pissed me off. I just don't want them to be involved only when it's convientent for them, I rather them be not involved at all if its going to be like this...

I'm sorry to hear that, but it's better that they're out now instead of when she knows them and then they decide they don't want to be involved.
I know it hurts, but just keep loving your baby and doing your best.
