Pregnant with the iud stories?

I just figured out I am pregnant with the IUD.
I made an appointment in two weeks to get it out..
Have this happened to anyone? can you share?

It hasn't happened to me, but I believe they say not to have in removed if pregnant. It's very dangerous, from what I've heard.

Hmmm. I read it should be asap. But they don't sometiems when its embedded into the placenta or something important that would make it more dangerous to take it out.

I would do as much research on it as you can, and make sure your doctor knows you are pregnant.

It hasn't happened to me personally, but it did happen to a friend of mine. She got the IUD after having her son and ended up pregnant when her DS was 5months old. Her doctor took the IUD out the day after she found out and warned her it was a pretty good possibility she would miscarry, but she carried her baby full term and now has another little baby boy. I'd contact a doctor ASAP and get it taken out!

Got preg with mirena still in place,

I tested came out positive, I was 5 weeks 5 days at ER

They tried twice to get it out and 2 times at urgent care, and 2 hi risk obs tried getting it out

They told me I had to have d&c to get it out which would cause miscarriage anyways...

I refused... at 5-6 month mark they said if the iud was going to hurt baby it would have done it by then, so for those months I was on pins and needles...

I think as long as you catch your pregnancy very early on, having the IUD removed shouldn't be too bad. I know there's that risk of causing a miscarriage from removal, but there's the risk of having a miscarriage from leaving it in also. Not to mention birth defects, still-birth, etc. I hope they are able to safely remove it and you go on to have a safe pregnancy and healthy baby!

Im deff watching this because I think I might be pregnant and im on mirena... Im snowed in so cant even go to cvs for a test...

I'm due in 9 days and thinking of mirena for my birth control afterward and you guys are scaring me! I might have to rethink this now...

I had paraguard for almost three years. I almost recommended it fully until now.. :/

For those of you who got pregnant on Paragard, when did you get your BFP? My period is 3 weeks late and I've had some pregnancy symptoms but even the urine tests at the OB are negative.

I got positives two days ago. My period would have been due yesterday or today.

A few days after my "period". I had a ton of symptoms for a couple weeks, then had an abnormally long period with cramping worse than I usually get that lasted the entire "period". So I just thought to take a test with my history of miscarriages and got a few faint positives. Went to the doctor for HCG draw and showed HCG in my blood. I miscarried very early.
