moving?

Did any of you single moms move after spliting up with your ex? I am trying to go back to school to get my teaching degree but I want to move back to go to the same school I got my undergrad at. It won't be too far, just 4 hours across the state. So if Shawn wanted to visit Michael it wouldn't be that hard. Any stories or advice?

I haven't done that but for me it would depend entirely on how involved the father is. My der children's father is uninvolved so I would not care if I moved away from him. On the flip side my youngests father is very involved, the only way I would move is if he agreed to move as well. If he wouldnt move I eould stay, my child's need for both parents takes precedence over my desire to move somewhere else.

i moved about an hour and half away from my ex when we split up. He usually gets them about every other weekend but this is weekend is the first weekend he has seen them for about a month

As of right now Shawn is somewhat involved. He can only see Michael when he has a ride to my house or I can bring Michael to him as Shawn doesn't have a DL due to his 2nd DUI. I won't be moving until next summer cause I am waiting until my little sister graduates from high school plus it will give me time to save money. But I guess that will give Shawn some time to get his DL back and we can go from there.
