Cough medicine

I've had this smurfing cough for 2 weeks now. It started off as a cold, and now the cough has stuck around. It's getting so bad, that I'm gagging BAD... and on the verge of puking because I'm coughing THAT hard. No phlegm is coming up. It's straight cough... for no reason. And I feel like death.

What is some medicine for straight cough? Is there even such a thing? Everything I see is also for runny noses, congestion, fever, blah blah... and I have none of those.

It's also safe when you're pregnant! Seriously, I would have lost my mind last month with all that coughing if I didn't have that.

Straight up Robitussin.

Delsym is a wonderful medicine, to me anyway.

Have you seen a doctor though? Coughing that bad and feeling that poor can be bronchitis.

No, because I figured it was a cold   If it keeps going like this I probably will. My stomach/chest muscles are literally sore from coughing so hard.

I used the Robitussin night time cough and cold tablets. I was able to sleep through the night. I just got over the same thing you had and it ended up being bronchitis. It sucked. I was only able to take Amoxicillin.

Ugh I really hope it's not bronchitis. Did your throat hurt? Because mine doesn't hurt (it did, but not anymore). It's just a violent cough, which I can feel in my chest. But no phlegm. Weirdest thing ever. I figured I'd have phlegm and what not... but no. Just a dry cough

Mine was a dry cough too with no phlegm. My throat only got sore after I was hacking my lungs out. I lost my voice twice over it too
