Quoting *KatteyBug*:" That I am not sure lol But google maybe?"i'll try that then. thanks!
Quoting CottonCandyKiller:" i'll try that then. thanks! "
Quoting *KatteyBug*:" Good luck! "thank you! and thank your mom too!
Quoting CottonCandyKiller:" so DD has been sick for almost 2 wks now. DH and i got the diagnosis of Flu type B the other day, and ... [snip!] ... need pedialyte (sp). i'm just worried about her loosing weight or becoming dehydrated. would you give her pedialyte anyway?"

[snip!] ... need pedialyte (sp). i'm just worried about her loosing weight or becoming dehydrated. would you give her pedialyte anyway?"I would not. If she's already eating/drinking less than usual, I wouldn't want to fill her up on the pedialyte instead of with formula. The formula is way more important and has all the nutritional stuff she needs.

Quoting LeTs*StArT*a*RiOt!:" Not necessarily, and a little pedialyte alongside the formula wouldn't hurt. Formula has nutrients, ... [snip!] ... per day when sick. Heck, hospitals give pedialyte here to infants when they come in sick to help prevent dehydration. "My bad. Just looked further into this and it does sound like a little pedialyte is a good thing if you are worried about dehydration. Thanks for teaching me something new! Thankfully, I haven't had to deal with this yet. Hope LO feels better soon!

Quoting CottonCandyKiller:" but would gatorade work just as well?"
Quoting LeTs*StArT*a*RiOt!:" When in a pinch, sure, but if you can afford the pedialyte that IS better for her. By leaps and bounds. "well the bottle says to throw it away 48 hrs after opening. the last bottle she wouldn't drink, i'd just hate to waste the money if she won't drink it.

Quoting LeTs*StArT*a*RiOt!:" We never finished our pedialyte either, but they do have a flavorless one you could try. Having to toss out the leftover pedialyte is pretty par for the course with this stuff. "yeah. would it be ok to mix it with stuff like formula?
Quoting CottonCandyKiller:" yeah. would it be ok to mix it with stuff like formula?"I did read about that when I was looking it up. You have to mix the formula with water, but then if you wish you can mix that up with the pedialyte. It said not to use the pedialyte instead of water to make the formula though because then the minerals and such can be too concentrated.
