Question about plastibell circ.
posted 9th Feb
Not here for opinions on how circs are terrible, etc. just pouting that one out there.
My son is 8 days old and 7 days post circ.
He's got the plastibell, and it's only attached by the top of the penis. The posts that are detached though seem to be a bit swollen and red, and on the underside there is a bit of yellowish.. Stuff..
It's not oozing and he doesn't seem terribly uncomfortable bit I'm curious of other plastibell experiences if this sounds normal.

Yellow is probably a sign of infection.

My middle baby had the plasti bell with the same issue. Our issue ended up being the bf poop dyeing the string around it yellow. I used some antibacterial goop around it just to make sure everything healed okay. It actually helped the plasti-bell fall off too.

I was nearly having a heart attack over this but, pediatrician FINALLY called back and well, his boy parts are perfectly fine. Apparently it's just soft scabs and what not, and it's almost totally off now. Yaaaaaay!
