kind of freaking out

posted 9th Feb
So my first miscarriage I lost at 13 weeks exactly. There was no warning, I just randomly got a gush of blood and it started, I never felt any pain.
I'm about to be 13 weeks on Monday and I just cannot get it out of my mind. I couldn't sleep last night because I kept thinking about it freaking out, having anxiety attacks. I know, I know... it's not good to stress out but how the smurf can I help it?!

God I will feel much better after I pass 13 weeks and when I can start feeling kicks so I know everything is okay in there.

I think its perfectly normal to feel anxiety after a miscarriage. I had a early still born at 24 weeks and when i had gotten pregnant with my DD I was constantly paranoid. I kept expecting the doctor to give me bad news.

At the last ultrasound I froze up until we saw/heard the heart beat... I'm just so scared I'm going to lose another baby.

I want to order one once we have some extra money, but it still scares me because with the 13 weeker, we heard the heart beat on doppler and then BOOM I was gushing.

I enjoy it every single hour of the day, but that worry is always in the back of my mine.
I smile all day when I look down at my belly but GOD I just want this paranoia to go away but I really don't think it will until the baby is here in my arms. I wish I was as care free as I was with my son and daughter's pregnancies.

Every time I feel too moist down there I freak out and go check what it is, but it's always just discharge thank god.

It's completely normal after a loss to be stressed and worried... I lost my first son at 22 weeks.. with my second son i was TERRIFIED of losing him.. i was nervous and stressed and upset ALL the time.. Let me tell you, i didn't enjoy one second of that pregnancy because i worried too much.. & in turn it made my irritable uterus even more tense and act up... this pregnancy i'm scared i'll lose my boy even though i successfully made it to 33weeks with my last.. But, regardless of how terrified i am, i'm staying calm and my uterus has been completely calm.. no contractions, just a tid bit of cramping! I've accepted that if i lose this baby, it was just meant to be... so i'm going to enjoy staying pregnant & if i make it this go round, i'll be happy that i did stay calm.

So I guess what i'm saying is,relax... breathe...stay as calm as possible.. If this baby is meant to make it then he/she will... miscarriages can happen for any reason.. whether it be genetic defects/abnormalities, infections, IC, ect.. Losing your baby last time could have been due to anything & there is no saying that it will happen again. Our bodies tend to know what's best for us, even if we don't agree with it... I'm sure that this baby will be fine, just stay calm. *hugs*

I have a clotting disorder, nothing to do with my babies it's me. So yeah... there is a high possibility of it happening again and it freaks me out.

I know what u mean. I lost my first baby at 7 weeks 6 days and the second at 8 weeks 3 days. I always was freaked until the 12th week. To the point I'd keep checking to make sure my boobs hurt and watch for blood EVERY time I went pee. After that 12th week I felt better about things. And having ultrasounds every 3 weeks then twice a week after 5 months helped a ton as well!

My OB is treating this just like any other pregnancy, I was expecting a lot more craziness but I'm fine with it!
I had the unsound to check for viability, the one to check for 1st trimester screening, and then I'll have one for the anatomy scan but I won't find out what the baby is. But I just get seen every 4 weeks and then so and so forth.

i suppose one way to get over the fear is to think you're a couple of weeks more than you are, it helped me, ive never had a miscarriage but the fear was there all the same but what i did was think i was ahead a couple of weeks and it helped alot, so when i was at 12 weeks my mind thought it was 15 weeks and it helped me an awful lot x
