For a while for my 3 year old I would make him turkey sandwiches, with fresh fruit, maybe some crackers, milk to drink. Or water. He also likes carrots with ranch, grapes, cucumber with ranch. Cheese sticks are a good thing, grilled cheese isn't the healthiest, but it's a change. He likes chicken nuggets a lot. He likes pasta too, spaghetti is a favorite.

Does he like to dip? Hummus and veggies are awesome. Fruit & spinach smoothies are also big hits in our house.

He loves cheese but I'm trying to help his constipation and cut down on dairy.

I'm just bored of the normal hot dog, chicken nuggets.

I want to start making smoothies but I have no idea where to start.

Homemade chicken nuggets aren't bad. You can make your own breadcrumbs and then bake them.

And we switched over to almond milk to cut back on dairy to to it constipating our 4 year old really bad.

They're easy.

We use organic vanilla yogurt, almond milk, frozen fruit (a variety, including a banana that I freeze -- peel first.) And a hand full of spinach. I just taste and go. Sometimes I mix it up, but this is my kid's favorite mixture.

I'm going to have to look up recipes! That sounds good. Maybe If I made everything the week before and froze it. That would save on time too.

Someone mentioned switching to soy milk before but I haven't tried it yet. He's been chronic constipated since a baby and his GI doc never once mentioned dairy to me.

Personally, I'd stay far far away from soy.

o school or a doc appointment. Thank you!

You're welcome. They are easy. We put them in our sili squeezes all of the time. For my 2 year old I also steam and puree veggies (carrots, broccoli, squash, etc) and then mix them with applesauce. He has no clue and he gets an extra serving of veggies. He can sometimes be picky, so I do what I can to make sure he's still getting the good stuff.

Anything, just make it look fun. Banana boats, ants on a log, sandwiches cut into cool shapes, soups, veggies cut up and made dippable, fruit pouches, meat/cheese roll ups, wraps w/ hommus, trail mixes, chicken salad on crackers (its more fun to eat that way, than in a sandwich)... graham crackers dipped in applesauce, yogurt w fruit and granola, clementines, goulash (you can make a ton and freeze small portions if he likes it), oatmeal (toss a few chocolate chips in, and some raspberries).... I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. My two younger kids LOVE avocados.  utting those in a wrap or just slicing to eat is yummy.

We love avocados as well! I use it as the spread (instead of mayo or something) when we have sandwiches.
