I'd just ask him what was going in I'm the truck and why he looked panicked.

What if he was just getting high with her? Maybe he was worried about what you would think about it.

I really don't know how you should approach him on this one. But I do think you should trust your gut. If you see something and it makes you feel a certain way, all the way down to the pit of your stomach, it's probably true.

I'm hoping they were just smoking. But he knows I don't have a problem with that AT ALL and I know he does it, so I don't understand his wide-eyed look or why he didn't want her following him?
On the way home, I didn't say a single word to him. Normally, he'd ask 'what's wrong?" but oddly, we just took a silent car trip home.
But then, when we got home, he could tell something was WAY off because I had tears in my eyes and he seemed genuinely confused about what was bothering me.

i don't know, i think i'd just ask him what they were doing to pass the time until you got there to pick him up.
