yes, i think my oldest was about 3.5 when he got bunk beds, but my just turned 2 year old was very good and knew better than to get on the top

I think my son could handle it I just wondered myself as the OP did who knows my second child could be completly different and stay in the crib past ten months that would be wonderful

It was so much easier to transition them from the family bed to their own bed because they were still sleeping together.

When my son was 4 I put him Top Side... But it had a guard rail.

For top bunk beds, I think it is at the age of 4.
