He does wake up when he's in bed with you, it's just easy for him to fall back asleep with you right there.

I'd keep co sleeping. It's too early for any kind of sleep training. If you're both getting good sleep, why fix something tht ain't broke?

For some reason, whenever I think of people getting heir baby to sleep in another bed, I imagine what would go they my mind if I saw a dog or cat doing the same thing. Lol Imagine if you had a dog with puppies who just kept putting them to sleep in a totally different room than her. She's get up during the night to feed them, then leave them in their room again. If they cry for her, she goes back and forth between her room and their room all night. I'd be like WTF DOG ?! Where are your instincts?? Hah okay, I know we're a little more evolved than dogs, but IMO that's all the more reason to do what, first of all, is most practical. And secondly, shows your baby that mommy is there twenty four hours of the day.

Lots of babies co sleep and transition fine to their own beds. I don't understand why you would rather teach him to sleep in his own bed NOW rather than wait til later. Right now he's not capable of understanding why he can't sleep with you all if a sudden and why he is all alone in a big dark room.
