Nice, no im sure she didn't but mine is similar she constantly tells us how she wont be able to cope going through 'all this' again if we chose to have more we'd be mad etc etc

I totally understand how you feel and I do believe if you put your mind to it you can do anything you desire. I know it must hurt but maybe your mom did not resize what she was telling you.

Maybe she didn't realise how you could take what she said? But at the end of the day, you can achieve what you set your mind to.. Try not to take it to heart

Sounds like my MIL. She doesn't think hubby can work and do schooling at the same time on top of watching a baby. Because her son has a "one track mind"

Some moms are like that. Mine can be awesome in so many ways & then sometimes says stupid smurf like that too. Se actually told me I can't make frosting roses. WTH? of course I can....why the hell not. They are "too hard & take too much work". I did them BTW & then even more annoying, she acted like she was shocked. I can't tell sometimes if she thinks I am an idiot savant when I accomplish something or just an idiot.

That sounds like mine too. It's like they have no brain sometimes or something. I know mine doesn't realize how damaging she can be, but smurf. If she heard me talking to DD like she talks to me she would have a fit.
