I'm just being silly, right!?

posted 8th Feb
My son was hospitalized for RSV on Monday and Tuesday. It wasn't severe and his levels never dropped. He just had a horrid cough that would cause him to throw up and his nose was congested so he had trouble breathing.

Today, it's like he's a new baby! He's almost back to his old self. Still sleeping a lot and he still has a cough, but it's not a chest cough but more of a throat cough and it's only every once in a while. Much less mucus, too.

I'm just...so scared the lay him down (we rigged up his bassinet so he's elevated) and go to sleep! Since he's gotten so much better, he'll be okay to sleep without someone sitting and staring at him, right!? lol

Last night...We took shifts. My mom had him for 4 hours, then my husband, and then I woke up with him in the morning.

Can you put him near you? I co-sleep and when LO had RSV I wasn't willing to let him out of my sight, even when he was improving. You probably are just being silly but I understand where you're coming from with it!

Yes, he sleeps like right next to my side of the best in his bassinet. I'm just afraid that I'm calling to fall asleep and not wake up or something. Even though...I've had him for 2 months and I wake up every single time he cries, lol. It's just terrifying!! All of the "what ifs" are insane.

I understand. LO was five weeks when he got it. But trust yourself! I woke up at every sniffle.

I just re-read what I typed....Hahaha. That didn't make a whole lot of sense. Maybe I'm delirious from lack of sleep.

I think he's going to be okay. He's so much better today than the days before. I suppose he'll be 100% in 2 days, tops.
