what's the most bizarre

posted 8th Feb
thing you have ever eaten (not counting weird stuff as a kid)? just saw a pick of people eating scorpions on a stick. now i know there are lots of things "bizarre" that other countries eat on a normal basis, but what's the weirdest you personally have ever eaten? bored and just curious.

Horse sashimi, vile half frozen bits of raw horse meat. It was disgusting, not taste because it really didn't have much but the texture *GAG*

I haven't really consumed anything strange, but there's a Korean restaurant in my town that offers some pretty "weird" stuff (or at least weird to me). They eat the seafood while it's alive. My mom's coworker was eating some type of squid, and said she could feel its tentacles moving around inside her mouth. Then there were little centipede-like creatures that were crawling around her plate and such.

I've also read several articles talking about a certain type of squid that will inseminate itself in your mouth during consumption... yuck, yuck, yuck.
Here's one of those articles: http://www.science20.com/squid_day/squid_your_plate_could_inseminate_your_mouth-91085

kangaroo makes me sad for some reason. my grandfather used to make gator stew (gator, crawfish gumbo type thing). once he grilled gator tail and it was the most succulent meat i've ever had!

I don't think they are considered "bizar" here, but I've had Kangaroo mince, Crodicile burgers, snake meat, honey ants, and live witjuti grubs.

Yea... she said when she was eating the centipede thing, she had to catch it on her plate (apparently they kept trying to crawl off) and then she could feel all of its legs moving around while she chewed it. I will definitely not be eating any of that, I don't even like seafood when it's dead!

I ate a sucker with a bug inside of it when I was 16. I want to say it was a roach, but that just sounds nasty. I don't remember what kind of insect it was, but it was rather large.
I think I got it at Universal Studios.
