Hahaha! Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it smells good lol. I use to do that while DH was deployed. He had a little bit left and forgot to take it with him. So I would spray it every night on the pillow next to me and just breathe it in all night long. When he came back I had bought him a giant bottle of it to replace the tiny amount I used up lol.

Exactly.   It didn't make the time go by faster, but it made the nights go by easier.

Fortunately I don't have to go through that, but there's been times I'm upset and hugging him and just his scent makes it better.

That's how it is for me too. Usually I hate being anywhere near anyone while I'm upset or angry, so my husband forces a hug on me lol. Otherwise I will pout forever. Its his smell that calms me down ultimately.

YUP! When I was married the first time, he was a HORRIBLE man. And I found lotion in one of my boxes one day that was from stuff my dad had gotten in a set of his cologne (CK1) and I'd put it on my hands every night before bed to help me relax. I remember the day I finally moved home, the first thing I did was give my dad a huge hug when I walked out of the terminal and inhaled his scent.

Aaaww <3 Sorry about your first marriage. I almost got stuck with one of those, but I somehow made it out 2 months before our wedding date. That's so sweet though. It's interesting how all it takes is just that one smell. It gives you a feeling of comfort, helps you relax and somehow just makes you feel better, even in hard times.
