5 years and 3 years. They BOTH decided. I don't think it's MY place to put holes in my childrens body & I wanted them to truly take care of them! I will do the same for my 6 month old - let her decide when she's older.

4 months...........its cultural, i was 3 months when my parents did it for me

Maybe that was a sign you shouldn't get it done. Why do something to your baby that is making you both cry? Its called motherly instincts and they are there for a reason.

Thats not what I mean. You shouldn't put your child in unnecessary pain. My son has to have surgery and I am sure I will cry but that is NECESSARY.

I love how a lot of ppl say 'When she asks'...
How about...get them done, because your the Mom and you CAN. And 'when she's old enough' or 'when she asks' to take them out, let her take them out.
No i wouldn't intionally hurt my baby for 'cosmetic reasons' but they're just ear rings... and they probably won't hurt a baby any more than getting a shot or something.

Hell no. Not my decision. I have known too many men who hate being circumcised and one who couldn't have sex because it hurt so bad because the doctor cut too much foreskin off. Not to mention, I personally don't think its necessary and the risks outweigh the so called benefits. Believe me, I read about twenty different research articles and watched it done in person. I would never do that to my son.
