Burn on palm/BH contractions
posted 8th Feb
I just burnt the crap out of my right palm. Boiling liquid exploded in my hand...
I'm tending to the burn, but I'm worried because the pain is causing strong BH contractions.
Anyone ever hear of real contractions brought on by intense pain?

It's possible for stress or injury to trigger labor. I don't know if you have any sort of history with PTL, but if you do, i would take the contractions seriously and get seen if you're having more than 6 per hour. I'd also try drinking a bunch of water and laying down for a bit to see if that helps.

Labor at 37- 38 weeks for all my pregnancies. I guess I should time these just having difficulty focusing because pain in my hand is so intense. I've had my hand submerged in cold water for over an hour. Can't take it out, DH is grabbing stuff from store for it but I guarantee it won't help much. Took two Tylenol, 0 effect. I'm writhing and contracting.
Thanks for response. I will count
