That's awesome.
I wanted to have one for my son (because we had all girl stuff from DD's shower) but my MIL told me that no one did that.

in some groups its still considered odd or tacky but second showers are becoming more common. I would never ask for a second shower or expect one but if a friend or family member offered to throw me one that by all means go for it.

I don't think it's tacky in the least, but I'm also not one to ask for or expect anything from anyone. We buy everything we need, people are welcome to bring a gift if they choose.

Ya that's how she made me feel about it.
Like it was greedy or something.

So I was going to throw a coffee/ cake thing where no presents were required but I was in no shape to do so after having DS. I had problems with being dizzy and no one wanted to help.
I feel guilty he was never celebrated because he now shares his b-day parties with DD because their only 9 days apart. So he'll never have his own special day.

I would ask for clothes.
I found I had little to no clothes for DS because everything I had for DD was pink and Girly. No one gave me hand me downs for him either.

In some countries even for meet the baby showers or gatherings peoplebring gifts anyways....iI guess when it comes down to it its ur own beliefs 100% so I believe every baby is a blessing and something to be celebrated my family and friends all would bring gifts anyways so I would love a baby shower for each baby

How dare her have her baby shower in the same month! lol

Maybe its the hormones but it seems a little silly to be upset over, especially this upset, to me.
