Baby Weight

Hey ladies! How is everyone doing? My name is Star and Im 33 weeks pregnant with my first child which is a little boy name Carson. Monday I had an ultrasound so the doctor can keep and eye on my fluids, because my fluids are lower than most pregnant women. While I was there I found out Carson weighs 3 pounds 10oz. Well Tuesday morning I get a call from the prenatal clinic they wanted me to come and so I could get on the monitor. They checked his heartbeat and his movements. While I was the prenatal clinic they told me my baby was in the third percentile with his weight gain. They said he should be weighing about 4 pounds 12oz at this time. They also made an appointment in Birmingham AL for me to go to see if anything is wrong. My question for you ladies would you guys worry about it or even go to Birmingham? I have 7 more weeks before Im due and Im pretty sure he will gain some more weight. My mom also told me not to worry because I was only 6pounds 8oz when I was born....What do you guys think?

They can be off by a pound or two either direction.

Absolutely go to Birmingham. UAB hospital has some of the best specialists in this area. I went up there with my son when I was leaking fluid at 27 1/2 weeks. They really know what they're doing, and are very reassuring. You definitely want to be on the safe side and be checked out.

Yes, and this. When it comes to pregnancy its always better to be on the safe side.

You're welcome. I actually went up there on December 10th, 2012 for myself. My regular OB down here(Dothan) wanted me on progesterone injections but had to refer me to the specialists up there just to make sure it was the best thing for me.
