I've posted in this forum but wanted to share some pictures and a little more of my story. At my 20 week ultrasound, on top of finding out that I'd be having a boy, I also discovered he suffered from a defect called an encephalocele, which pretty much means his skull never finished forming. Doctors urged me to get an abortion, but I wanted to give my little man a chance. I was told he probably wouldn't even make it out of the womb, but with every kick I felt, I knew he was my little fighter. Sure enough, my Donovan Alexander was born on November 2, 2010 weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz. I decided to take him off of life support because I wanted his few hours here to be as comfortable as possible, not hooked up to wires and monitors. He lasted six hours and changed my life forever.

We miss you baby boy.<3
