Quoting SAFFY™:" I don't even know what the protocols are in my daughter's daycare. I know they wash hands after the bathroom, ... [snip!] ... eat. That's about all I really know. Meh. As long as they can keep it clean to my house standards, I have no worries. "
Quoting Smokey_Taboo:" Why dont you try boosting her immune system first? You can try children wellness formula multi vitamin, ... [snip!] ... we as the parents are in charge of helping washing the children hands when they first get to school and before snack time. "That's what I was going to say. Get her on a kid's multivitamin, plus C and D. She needs more D than the 400IU RDA. One or two thousand IU is safe; D has an extremely high safety profile, and it is shown to improve immunity.
Quoting Mama to J ♥:" I realize that she is going to get sick anywhere she goes, but I think if sanitation and hand washing ... [snip!] ... and hand washing was a PRIORITY for the teachers, then the chance of sickness goes down significantly. That's just logic. "
Quoting Mama to J ♥:" Agree. I would never keep LO home for a snotty nose, however, I still like to bathe my child and wipe their noses and make sure her face is wiped off before going out. That's kinda gross."
Quoting Mama to J ♥:" She takes a multivitamin daily, drinks veggie/fruit smoothies, we all love healthy foods/supplements. ... [snip!] ... to the spread of germs. A LOT of her classmates are sick. All of the time.... And by the way, there are 17 kids in her room."

Quoting Red Bottom:" Kids are gross. Washing their hands every hour isn't going to stop them from being gross and getting gross again. "

Quoting SAFFY™:" No kidding. My 2 year old used my hand to wipe her snotty nose."
Quoting Red Bottom:" Your story gets more and more exaggerated the more people don't share your opinion, which is making ... [snip!] ... with that when you enrolled your daughter and before you wanted to play the pedestal game between you and every other parent. "

Quoting Mama to J ♥:" My LO just turned 2 and she has been home with me for almost 2 years. I just started working 3 months ... [snip!] ... been there for 3 months and she is getting comfortable. I don't want her to be scared if I drop her off somewhere new Help!"No, that unfortunately is the norm for every daycare. Be prepared for it to be like that the first year or so. My son had about 10 ear infections (ended up with tubes), pneumonia, RSV, foot and mouth, etc. RSV was just in his room this January and he didn't get it! We were going to the doctor at least once a week last year but we haven't been in months now so it does get better. Just look at it like this, you're going to deal with it sooner or later, so it's better that you deal with it now than when she's in school.
