I don't even know what the protocols are in my daughter's daycare. I know they wash hands after the bathroom, before and after snack, and before and after lunch. I know they wipe down the tables after the kids eat.

That's about all I really know. Meh. As long as they can keep it clean to my house standards, I have no worries.

That's what I was going to say. Get her on a kid's multivitamin, plus C and D. She needs more D than the 400IU RDA. One or two thousand IU is safe; D has an extremely high safety profile, and it is shown to improve immunity.
I have no opinion on the daycare thing.

She takes a multivitamin daily, drinks veggie/fruit smoothies, we all love healthy foods/supplements.

The thing about cleanliness, I do not have too high of an expectation (I don't think). When I go to drop LO off in the morning, you walk in and can just smell the piss. They are SUPPOSED to mop with sanitizer, clean the toilets nightly, use a diluted bleach spray on all toys/surfaces. This is state law....this is everyone in our state. I am not asking for too much to just wipe down the surfaces. I mean....I did it when I worked there. I always did it because I know kids are gross when it comes to sharing toys, etc. I did it for their health. I guess not everyone there is for the kids, most people its just a paycheck.

Anyways, I do agree that her immune system is just getting used to its new environment....but the point I was trying to ask was is it possible that their lack of cleanliness contributed to the spread of germs. A LOT of her classmates are sick. All of the time....

And by the way, there are 17 kids in her room.

Kids are gross. Washing their hands every hour isn't going to stop them from being gross and getting gross again.

Pretty bold move accusing other parents of not bathing their kids.

Your story gets more and more exaggerated the more people don't share your opinion, which is making it hard to believe anything you say.

Now all of a sudden the entire place smells like "piss".

Weird, you didn't seem to have a problem with that when you enrolled your daughter and before you wanted to play the pedestal game between you and every other parent.

look if you arent comfortable then just leave, kids are adaptable. Honestly if you are having such harsh feelings about the place and now thinking the other parents dont bath there children and the teachers dont clean up piss, you probably should just leave its not good to be apart of a school where you are only going to resent the people around you....

No kidding. My 2 year old used my hand to wipe her snotty nose.

Why the hell do you leave your 2 year old at a facility where you can SMELL the piss???

I think you're exaggerating. If you want to switch daycares, do it. You don't need our approval.

Mine loves to wipe his nose on my pants... snail trail up the pant leg is a great way to start off the day.

I think you seem a little butthurt over something. lol.

I never accused other people of not bathing their kids, I just pointed out that the fact that I DO like to bathe my child every day. Its not the same thing. You seem to want to put words in my mouth.

I got a job working there....which is the only reason I enrolled her there. It was free. Now that I have a MUCH better job, I am deciding if I want to enroll her somewhere better. Which is most likely going to happen.

I wasn't asking for anyone's "approval." I was trying to see what other people thought about the spread of germs. You are the ones who turned it into a competition.

I think you are way too dramatic for your own good!

I never said every hour....I pointed out that they do not supervise them during hand washing. I have the web cam on at work and I can see what goes on. I can see the toddlers do not wash their hands and the teachers never wipe anything down. THATS my problem.

No, that unfortunately is the norm for every daycare. Be prepared for it to be like that the first year or so. My son had about 10 ear infections (ended up with tubes), pneumonia, RSV, foot and mouth, etc. RSV was just in his room this January and he didn't get it! We were going to the doctor at least once a week last year but we haven't been in months now so it does get better. Just look at it like this, you're going to deal with it sooner or later, so it's better that you deal with it now than when she's in school.

Then do something.
