Contractions

I am 25 weeks today and for the past week I have noticed anytime I do anything it doesn't matter what it is I can be playing with my daughter and start contracting. I cannot do anything or go any where without having contractions.I am really concerned and I am afraid that I will end up on bed rest because of it. I am a single mom to a 19 month old little girl and I have to take care of my daughter.

Yea the other day they were actual contractions and I was able to stop them myself by laying on my left side they are getting worse stronger and more intense.

BH are normal throughout pregnancy but shouldn't be associated with pain until like 32 weeks. You got them to stop hurting which is good. I would bring it up at your next appointment unless they happen again with pain. Then I would call and see what they want you to do.

I called the oncall doctor she said if they get worse to come in so I am trying to relax because I don't want to go to the hospital because my 19 month old needs me

Make sure you're keeping hydrated.. take your weight cut it in half and drink that in ounces to make sure you're not dehydrated.. if it seems they're getting stronger and/or more frequent go to the er/l&d to have them check and make sure you don't have a uti/bv/yeast infection because those can sometimes go undetected and they can cause contractions and preterm labor.
