And she was 11 when she had the baby.

The youngest was a 5 year old in Peru in 1930. Named Lina Medina. They raised her son like her brother. They speculate the father was her father.

There is a whole list on Wikipedia on under 12 year old birth mothers. Alot of them happened in 1800s. One that sticks out is Mum-Zi. She was 8 years old and 4 months old when she had her daughter. Her daughter, Zi, was 8 years old and 8 months when she had her child. They lived in Smurfia. Zi made her mom a grandmother at 17. This happened in 1884 and 1893.

I think as a mother I'd be devastated.. not only was my child being abused, but now she was pregnant from it?

I'd die.

In 2001 in Thailand there was 9 year old that was married to a 27 year old and had a baby. She was legally married at 8.

I can't wrap my head around it

This is absolutely sickening. I feel bad for the poor girl and hope the father of her baby is executed in the most unhumane way possible. Children having children this young is rare since most girls dont start puperty until closer to age 11 or so but children being raped this young is not as rare as people would like to think. It's heartbreaking that sex crimes involving children are are so common yet it's a topic that almost never brought to the publics attention. You can't always blame the parents because it's unrealistic to hold your childs hand every second of every day for their whole life and a lot of the time the creeps that harm these kids are often someone close to the family, people who you would never think of being capable of such crimes therefore entrusting their childs safety in said creeps care. In all honesty, I think there needs to be more info out there for parents so parents can educate themselves on how to teach their children the importance of "no-no places" as far as touching and letting their children know that if someone does touch them inappropriately the need to tell mom/dad/primary-caretaker right away. There also needs to be more awareness as far as reconizing red flags regarding any form of child abuse, something that most people don't recognize until the damage and trauma has reached severe levels. Children that go thru such events oftern develop PTSD/PTSS and those who don't recieve any counceling or experience recurring abuse face many other emotional/mental disorders in the long run.

This is sick!!
As I sat here and read that, I watch my 8yr old daughter colouring in....the normal things a child that age should be doing.
WTF is wrong with people....smurfing twisted smurfs!!!

It makes you wonder...How could grown men be attracted to...babies? They're little. What kind of conversation could you have with them? What kind of sex life would you have with someone who is a child? It disgusts me.

I know. It makes me sad and it sort of triggers me. I just look at my brothers and cousins that are young like that and can't imagine them having children.
