A regular diaper will just mush into little bits of nastiness in the pool. You definatly need the little swim diapers

Use the little swimmers diapers they go under the bathing suit.. Regular diapers swell up. Not having a diaper is fine for pee but if your LO poops you have issues! Even with your own pool. Ok if its a kiddie pool you can easily dump. I take DD swimming once a week right now.

I've used both a regular diaper and swim ones. Loved the swim ones. Much more absorbent! Went right under her bathing suit with no issues.

But they hold together well in water? Also, if your LO goes number 2 does it stay in? Sorry, DD is my first so idk how parents take un-PT'd children to the beach.

ah, never thought about that. I have the same question as I did for the little swimmers though, do they hold in poo when you're in the water? Obviously I'd change her as soon as I noticed. I just don't want to offend other swimmers with my DD's bodily functions lol.

We use the little swimmers, but make sure you change them out of it as soon as your done. We stupidly left DS is his while we walked from MIL's house to home (it is right around the corner, less than a 5 minute walk) and Ds had the worst diaper rash. We always put him straight in the bath after swimming to wash off the clorine anyways, but it still sucked.
