My son did that at about 2 years old I think and I brought him in just in case he needed stitches...Its better safe than sorry

My first DS tripped over his foot when he was 2 1/2 and bit straight through his lip with his fang. I just kept a cold rag on it until the bleeding stopped, which took a few mins. After that he was fine. For me, it would depend on how big the gash is and how long its been bleeding for as to whether I took him in or not.

I put my teeth through my lip when I was 2, and ended up having 9 stitches. Even if he doesn't need stitches, they may want to clean it and/or give antibiotics. Better safe than sorry momma!!!

Will he let you look inside his mouth to look at his lip? I'd see how deep and long it was before making a decision on whether to go in or not.

Personally if its stopped bleeding I wouldnt take him in.

Me neither. I'd just ice it and give him Tylenol for the swelling.

Its not very wide and can't tell how deep, he's playing now. I don't think I'm going to take him in..
