Expired Tests

When it comes to ovulation tests, do you continue to use them even though they may say "use after thirty days of opening", or do you throw them out? My mom's friend who is an OB thinks they are perfectly fine to use for several months after opening as long as they've been in a dark, climate controlled space. I have a friend though, who believe otherwise, and blames expired ovulation strips for her third pregnancy.

Do you follow those dates? Have you used expired strips and found them to be consistent with your bodies normal ovulation signs? Have you used expired strips and found them not to be consistent in any way?


ETA- I've never used expired ones, but when I ordered some OPKs and PTs back in December, my mom was reading the OPK box as she had never seen them before, and was shocked that you only had thirty days to use them. (There were 50 in this kit)

I only use the internet cheapies and each one is in it's own sealed package. So I've never had that issue.

I won't be buying these next time, they came in a tube. I'm a POAS addict so i'm trying really hard not to open the tube, even though we won't be TTC till May. Where do you get yours from if you don't mind me asking?

I get mine off of ebay. Let me see if I can find the link for you. They are super cheap and work great.
