Most drs here make you take out all piecings for labor in general. They actually just told my SIL she would have to have her dermal out too, when she told the dr they have to cut them out and she made a disgusted face...

I had to remove all my jewelry, I would ask your doctor about it the next time you go

I didn't have to remove any piercings including my belly button ring. If they really need that thing out if there because of an emergency they will cut it out.

I was able to leave in all 14 of my piercings when I was in labor and one of which is a dermal on my chest. I was also rushed to the OR and They were all still left in.

Ok well I'm not going to get it removed when I'm pregnant, so can they refuse to birth my baby? Haha I feel stupid asking, but.. I'm not getting it cut out in a tattoo shop while I'm pregnant! Not going to happen.

I had an emergency c-section too. I went in with the intent to deliver vaginally, and I had to take all my piercings out before that. Next go round I think I'm putting retainers in the ones I don't want to close. That way, it's plastic instead of metal in the event that something happens.
I'm also having my wisdom teeth out on the 19th, and was told I don't need to take all piercings out for that, just my labret and the big ones in my ears.
