because of herd vaccinations. If EVERYONE stopped vaccinating... those who feel so safe now.. wouldn't be because the same diseases that killed thousands would come back and kill again.

we no longer worry about polio, smallpox, rubella, measles, etc...

antibiotics aren't natural either... when your kid gets strep.. do you treat it or test how strong their immune system is?

What our homeopathic dr. recommends is what we will look into, when or if that happens.
I wouldn't be loading my kid up with antibiotics to prevent strep when it's possible she wouldn't get it, either, though.

Seems harmless, vaccinating your child against a new strain of the Flu, until it isn't. You can fight the flu, but there is no cure for narcolepsy.

We stated vaccinating until we heard about vaccine recall right before DD got hers. After that, did research and decided against it. I don't like the crap that's in them.

DD also has a homeopath and she visits the chiroprater. Chiro just helped with an ear infection. No antibiotics and when I took her back to the clinic where they diagnosed her with the infection it was cleared. Antibiotics are the worse but that's for another discussion ;)

I think it's just awesome how advanced our medical field is, and that they've discovered all these medicines that can help when needed, but I feel it's all very much overused.

Although DD also has a conventional pediatrician, I only somewhat agree. Most of the medicines out there do more harm than good. Listen to any drug commercial and at the end they state the 15 side effects you may suffer from just to cure one symptom. The way I see it. Pharmaceuticals are a big business. The good ones a few and far between.

Everyone has a choice in the matter, I am not telling anyone to vaccinate their child just so mine dosen't need to. You vaccinate bcause you feel it is best for your child, I don't vaccinate because I think it's best for mine.

Hahahahahaha - oh wait, you're serious.

The only VPD that we've had my kids caught from a fully vaxed kid. They were fine (my kids)...we only saw a Dr to confirm that is what it was via titers. The vaxed kid was sicker than hell. For real. My baby was 5 months & even he breezed through it. It was pertussis.

I don't buy that anyone is protecting us. Quite the opposite. That child was already to the Dr before we got exposed & the Dr never looked for WC because he was "fully vaxed" plus had an extra booster he got for stitches a few months prior.

My kids are never ill truly. They had WC & didn't need a Dr visit, they got one to confirm the dx so that I could tell if I was quarantining them for good reason or out of paranoia since I found out they had been exposed (because the symptoms were so mild I was being told by everyone that "it can't be WC" - it was). Other than that my younger one got a bad tummy bug at a year & was seen at the Dr to make sure he was not dehydrated (and he wasn't). Within the next 8 weeks they will be 6yrs old & 3yrs old - both bdays coming up.

because mothers are fed medical propaganda of guilt, fear mongering and the idea that their child's immediate well-being (febrile seizures are NOT okay, neither is an infant getting a fever) should be sacrificed for the good of society.

diseases are living things that mutate, the more environmental pressure we put on them, the more they mutate...

there's a reason why children have so many allergies, asthma & autoimmune diseases are sky-rocketing... b/c our bodies natural defenses have been supplemented w/ chemical copies from BIRTH over and over again, until they literally make us sicker than we'd be were we to lead healthy clean lives.

That's a great point.

Many vaccines do not comepletely prevent disease. The vaccine information sheet the CDC provides explains that the person getting the vaccine can still become ill but is typically a "milder" form of the disease.

Yep & even that was wrong. The child who gave it to us most definitely did not have anything mild about it. MY kids were mildly ill - as in coughed 1-3x per night for 10-20 seconds at most. And I know it wasn't any more than that because they slept with me.
