coughing :(

My four month old wont stop coughing! My little sisters have it too. I'm taking him to the hospital when my grandma gets here later. He can barley breath  he was up all night long coughing and waking up and crying from where he stop breathing  can they really give him anything to help? My mom said they probably can't:/

At four months, only thing you can really do is try a humidifier. I'd say try a quarter dose of children's delsym but I wouldn't chance it. Hope he's ok and feels better.

I've tried that before and it didn't help him at all:/

Breathing treatment and antibiotics if it's an infection. My 5 month old was diagnosed with Bronchitis last night and that's what they did for him.

They'll probably give him steroids to open up and loosen his airways

Yeah I know  he is always sick  he was a month old and I had to take him to the doctor to get meds because he was sick the first month he was born.

Sounds like he has a weak immune system. My son was like that... still is. If he's around anyone who's sick, whether cold, flu, or what have you, next day he's sick. You may want to talk to his pedi about it. I hope he gets better and stays better. And if its a constant breathing problem, it could be asthma. I hope not though.
