We just found out that Sophia, our 5 year old will be needing glasses full time for a pretty off the charts astigmatism and far farsightedness. We get her glasses early next week, so far she is super happy and excited, and I am hoping that wont change!
If you have a child(ren) with glasses and they were super happy/excited about it, did that continue on?!
I am worried at first she will just love them (she is big into accessories
) and then feel how tedious it is to always have to wear them, take them off for gym, ballet, etc then back on.. (obviously not a difficult task, but she is five..)
I am not that worried, but would just like to hear other experiences
Her Grandma has glasses, so does her cousin her age, and two other girls in her class and a friend she has known since pretty much birth, so I don't think she feels pressure of being 'different' at all.
