I'm sorry, that sounds really stressful. May I ask why you decided to move this late without having something lined up? I'm not trying to get you more stressed, but just wondering.

I've never heard of that. I dont think they can do that unless there's a real reason, such as alcohol or drug abuse or what have you. That don't sound right to me...

Medicaid will back pay 3 months. So go to the doctor..say you will self pay then send the bills to medicaid when they come.

without medical records they will require some things.. like an Iv and antibiotics. They will NOT force you to have pit or epidural. why would they? why on earth would you refuse vit K anyway? yes, you'll get assigned on call doctor... but that doesn't mean they will mistreat you. They just have to treat unknowns like infection.

they will not take your baby... but it'll raise red flags.. they'll likely test for drugs

don't stress that much. No one can ever force medical treatment on you. They may keep tabs on you for a little while after LO is born... but if you have nothing to hide.. don't worry about it

Because some people choose not to vaccinate and that includes the vit. K injection.

I've never heard of that, I would not worry about it. You'll have your records faxed to you this week and just make sure to keep them in your Hospital Bag along with a detailed printed up birth plan

I don't know any one who has had a pediatrician lined up before the baby is born honestly. I am sure some people do it, it makes sense, but honestly you don't know if you'll like a doctor until you actually meet them. Just ask around and get a list of Maybe doctors to have before hand

The place we were at was causing a lot of issues, and it was NOT okay to have a baby in that environment, and my husband hadn't been able to find a job. I was told before we moved that my medicaid would transfer over to this state all I had to do was let them know I moved. Apparently that was not the case and they had to re-do it completely and the doctor I had lined up wouldn't see me unless I had papers in hand. I've been here a month and signed up for medicaid when I first got here but they still haven't sent me a thing. I've called their office, but the lady there can't really tell me much because all she can do is check if it's sent she can't speed it up or anything.

It's not that I'm not going to vaccinate her at all, there are just some that I don't want her to have and the ones I do want her to have, I want her to get on MY schedule, not theirs.

You wont get your baby taken away for not having pre nantal care. I didn't see a doctor for the same reason until I was 28 weeks, and I only went 3 times.

That is perfectly fine. We did the Vitamin K in liquid form over three days for our youngest, and that was the only newborn one we did as I don't have an STD.

vit K is not a vaccine. babies are born without clotting agents. the birthing process puts them at risk for brain bleeds. I'm all for delayed vaccines... but giving vit K has saved many lives

what does an STD have to do with anything?

that's not the reason they do vaccines, vit K, or erythromycin
