put the whole chicken breasts in the crock, add a can of beans, black or kidney, a can of corn, both drained, a can of tomatoes, and a package of taco seasoning. add tomato juice or V8 or something similar until everything is covered and leave it alone all day!!

For southwest chicken I put in black beams, diced tomatoes, green chilis, cumin, cilantro, corn and a little taco seasoning. Then we either have it as burritos or over rice. And yup, same concept. I use brown sugar, barbecue sauce, and Italian dressing for mine. The dressing makes it tangy and super tender.

I eat it with cheese and tortilla chips but DH likes it plain just like that. its kind of a really thick soup when its all done i just break up the chicken right before I serve it

I do this but i cut up the chicken and use a can of rotel instead of tomatoes. Served over fritos or doritos   yummm.

Me personally I would mix them all in. I love my veggies! I just use garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, diced up onion, and minced garlic. The chicken gives off a lot of flavorings itself. Or you can add rice to it. or nothing at all and dip flour tortillas in it.

Glad you liked it! It's my husband's favorite. I like it with cheese and sour cream on tortillas.
