Is this normal?

I'm not super worried about it but DS is almost 12 weeks old & when he first lays down to sleeps he turns his head from side to side quickly a few times. Kinda like he's trying to get comfortable or possibly his head itches. He was born with a lot of hair in the back(it was a good 2in long at birth & covered the back of his neck)

My almost 8 month old does this a lot, he just recently started doing this like a month ago. He does it when he's really tired.

Is he maybe just rooting?

Normal. Mine did it for ages and got some really good bald spots on the back of their heads from it. I was so embarrassed of them because I thought it looks like I neglect my children and just let them lay on their backs all day long!! Thankfully hair is growing in now!
