posted 8th Feb
My 11 week old is sick so he has stopped eating as much and I'm losing my milk! How can I stop this from happening?

Because he is sick you should try to get him to the breast MORE often. Like while he's sleeping, when he's just sitting around, anytime he is awake try tiger him to the breast.

But if you can pumping in between will help a little.

I know. They fight it when they don't feel good but it is the best way to get them feeling better faster. The skin to skin tells your body to overload the milk with antibodies he needs, so essentially your immune system is doing all the work for him.

Oh and as soon as he starts eating more your supply will go back up. Nothing's permanent as far as supply goes because its supply and demand. What baby needs, you will produce.

Oh yeah this too! When his over being sick it might take a little bit and a lot of cluster feeding but your supply will go back up to meet his needs as long as you feed him on demand.

Even if baby doesnt want to eat tons, when he is feeling better he will probably cluster feed which will bring your supply back up again.
BTW: I used to live about a half hr from where you live now
