breastfeeding and my period

I had my son 9 weeks ago and i breast fed for the first 4 weeks then i switched to formula. I bled for the first couple weeks after delivery then it stopped and then came back again. I don't know if it was my period but if it wasn't should it be taking this long to come back. And yes i did have unprotected sex once at 5 weeks and again at 6 weeks. I'm really hoping to not be pregnant again.

You're really fertile after giving birth.


But with that being said, I didn't get my period til almost 8 mo pp. and I bled after delivery for 15 weeks :/

It could've been your period. I bled for 3-4 weeks, stopped for a week & got my period. I just got my period again yesterday which is how I know the second bleeding post partum was AF showing her ugly face already
