she's here 5 weeks early

jaidyn was born at 713 pm via c section. Weighing 5 lb 8 oz and 18 inches. I haven't seen her yet which is killing me. The placenta wad 30% ubrupted. She didn't need any oxygen and is doing amazing. I'm in so much pain but it was worth it.

Awwww that's exactly what my son's weight/height was at birth. (he was a 36 weeker). That's great about not needing oxygen, and I hope you get to see & hold her VERY soon!

Congratulations! Happy to hear that both of you are doing well. Why haven't you been able to see her yet? Did you have any symptoms prior to this that would indicate you'd go early?

congrats!! & don't worry, they are such fighters and grow SO quickly!! my son was born at 33wks at 5 lbs 1.3 oz and 17 1/4 inches long.. he wasn't tiny for long! he's now such a big toddler! when he was 2 everyone thought he was 4 because his height.

I didn't get out of recovery until almost 11pm. I was in so much pain the just put me to bed. I have never went to term. I woke up wet and had some contractions. I called l&d and they wanted me checked. My contractions weren't hurting very bad but getting closer. So they started pit. I got to 5cm and stalled. I was bleeding pretty bad so the doc said it was time to get her out. My placenta had pulled away 30% and Jaidyn aspirated some of the blood.

*UPDATE*
Jaidyn Rayne Debra Rose is doing great. She is eating a higher calorie formula for now. I get to feed her and hold her. She will stay an extra day just to be monitored. Her oxygen is between 98 and 100. She's perfect!
