Like every 30 minutes, clean off the filter. It'll help dry 'em faster.

Just put what he needs for the day in for now. Thats what i do when i forget to put them in the dryer before i go to work

If there is a certain few items of clothing I need now, I'll just pick them out of the washer and in like 20 min they are dry and then throw the load in the dryer after you got what you need dried.

I just cannot believe I did not think about this.. Later.. after I get sleep. I will be taking the smurfing thing apart and figuring out what is wrong with it.

Just put in what he needs and hope it dries in time.

If not then you could try a hair dryer.. That might work.. Might.

I find it sad my mother would rather use three times the electricity than fix the smurfing thing or replace it. I sure as hell am not going to buy her one.

Has anyone cleaned the vent leading from the dryer outside? The entire metal hose on the inside- leading from the dryer to the wall and then the wall to the outside?

throw a dry towel in with them. it helps dry them faster

That's terrible.

at our old duplex our dryer got hot to the touch and wouldn't dry clothes. Then the thing broke and when we were waiting for our new dryer to be delivered we pulled the old one out and saw some water. I was a little confused. But didn't look too much into it. We got the new dryer installed, the neighbor comes over to tell me there is gurgling coming from the dryer vent. So I called a duct cleaner. Cost me $100 and they cleaned out the duct. Our vent ran from the bathroom/laundry room under the house and outside. So we couldn't do it ourselves. The guy pulled out enough sopping, dripping wet lint to fill 2 plastic grocery bags. I guess that is one of the main causes of house fires.   You're supposed to clean them once a year. Thank goodness our house goes straight from the dryer outside and is just an arms length so we don't have to hire anyone again.

Ours is just a little tube that leads to the top of the dryer. I don't know what it's called but I'm calling it a portable dryer lol. It's not physically attached trough the house. Thankful for that, I couldn't even imagine.

My little brother supposedly did but he is a lazy brat and will do the job wrong a million times (intentionally) before he does it right one time.
