I don't use it simply for the fact that I know too many people troll on there. My husband used to do it all the time. Most of the time if I have a question, I get on BG.

I used it back in it's hey day.. but now its rubbish. So many trolls.

With your question, it will depend on if the wood has been treated or not as to if the varnish will stick but i'm pretty sure it would work. Just remember go light on it for the first coat.

me too. except i didn't think i'd have much luck with a question about acrylic paint varnish on wood at this time of night here

it worked  
i tested it on the back, i was just worried about the ink bleeding in the parts i used it, but all was well
